It’s no secret that the upcoming Ryzen 7000 series can give you a hell lot of performance. With their high-end Ryzen 7 7700X processor, AMD has again claimed the top spot for giving their users solid gaming and productivity experience.
But as great as they are, the new Zen 4 CPUs can get pretty hot, especially when overclocked to their full potential. As the whole line-up of the 7000 series doesn’t come with an in-box cooler, you’ll need to get a high-end aftermarket CPU cooler for your Ryzen 7 7700X if you want to keep things nice and cool.
Going for an air cooler or an AIO cooler totally depends on your own preference. You just have to make sure that your processor stays under 95 degrees Celsius, which is the thermal limit for Ryzen 7 7700X.
Well, to keep your processor under safe temperatures and avoid thermal throttling, I have put together a list of the best CPU coolers for the Ryzen 7 7700X that are currently available with AM5 socket support.

The 3 Best CPU Cooler for Ryzen 7 7700X Reviews
DeepCool AK620

Reasons to Buy
- Gives similar performance just like Noctua NH-D15.
- Comes around $65-$70 which is great for budget users.
- Dual-tower case means good heat dissipation and lower temperatures.
- Good RAM clearance.
- Quiet operation under heavy load.
Reasons Not to Buy
- Lacks RGB lighting.
DeepCool has been providing some of the bests cooling systems since 2008, they have been in the industry for a long while and have earned themselves a pretty good reputation. The AK620 is one of their high-performing air cooler giving some pretty stiff competition to the Noctua NH-D15. This cooler gives a similar performance while being 30% cheaper than Noctua NH-D15, which is quite impressive for budget users.
The AK620 is a dual-tower CPU cooler that features six 6mm copper heat pipes and two 120mm PWM fans. The 6 copper pipes are patched with a square base plate which then goes up to the aluminum fins. Furthermore, there are a total of 50 fins which makes heat dissipation more efficient.
The two fans have a spin speed of 1850RPM which are then connected to the motherboard with 4-pin connectors. A 4-pin connector allows the motherboard to control the speed of the fan according to the temperature. It also comes with a 28 dBA noise level and a pretty good airflow of 69 CFM which means that it can cool your processor efficiently while staying quiet under heavy load.
As for aesthetics, the DeepCool AK620 comes with three color variants, all of which look very premium. The top of the cooler is also covered with a black plastic plate that has DeepCool’s logo engraved on it, which is kinda cool and gives a unique look.
As for the colors, you’ve got a normal with black fans and aluminum fins, an all-black version with black fans and fins, and a white version with white fins. I am in love with the all-black version named as “ZERO Dark” as it looks absolutely beautiful and goes great with an all-black-themed build. Although, the all-white color is also cool if you’re going to build a white gaming build!
Overall, the DeepCool AK620 is a great air cooler that gives amazing performance while being very quiet and comes with a pretty reasonable price tag. It also comes with all the necessary accessories needed when installing the cooler on your motherboard. I also liked this cooler because with a height of 160mm (6.3") it can be a perfect fit for a mid-tower and full tower cases.
MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R

Reasons to Buy
- Rotatable 270 degree blockhead for great aesthetics of your gaming build.
- Split pathways for heat dissipation.
- RGB fans and blockhead!
- Little to no noise.
- Great for budget users (~$100)
Reasons Not to Buy
- Having a LCD on the blockhead could be better!
MSI is always known for its gaming motherboards and graphics cards, but they’ve also been in the cooling industry for a while now. With their CoreLiquid 240R AIO cooler, they’re giving tough competition to the leaders in this field, Corsair, and NZXT. The MAG CoreLiquid 240R is one of their newest and the most aesthetically pleasing CPU coolers which you can pair with Ryzen 7 7700X and set up your liquid-cooled gaming rig!
This AIO cooler from MSI comes with a 240mm radiator which is cooled by two 120mm PWM MAG fans. The two MAG fans can go from 500RPM to 2000RPM and have a maximum noise level of 42 dBA which is pretty good and barely audible. The radiator is made from aluminum and has a thickness of 27mm. As for the tubing, it is 400mm long and is made with three layers of netted plastic and then there is a reinforced mesh exterior which makes evaporation unlikely and also provides durability.
The radiator also features split pathways for the coolant to travel, this increases the surface area for heat transfer and also allows the coolant to travel faster. Furthermore, the pump of the MAG CoreLiquid 240R is very quiet as it is now integrated into the radiator which increases its lifespan and also helps to make the pump noise-free.
What I loved in this cooler is the water blockhead, as it has some cool aesthetics with MSI’s logo in the middle and can also rotate 270 degrees. This means that you can position the logo in any direction you want and also makes it easier to route the tubes in your case. Furthermore, the blockhead also comes with RGB lighting which you can control with MSI’s Mystic Light software.
The MAG CoreLiquid 240R is an excellent AIO cooler that you can get for within 100 bucks. This makes it the best AIO CPU cooler for Ryzen 7 7700X for those who are looking for a more affordable option. Not only does it look good with the RGB lighting, but it also performs very well and is very quiet.
be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Reasons Not to Buy
- Installation process can be tricky for some people!
- Only for full-tower cases, because of its big size.
be quiet! as the name suggests is famous for making some of the best PSUs, CPU coolers, and PC cases that are known for their silent operation. With the Dark Rock Pro 4, they’re aiming to provide the best possible cooling performance for Ryzen 7 7700X while being very quiet.
The Dark Rock Pro 4 features an all-black design which is once again my favorite design to pair with any pc build. It is a huge dual-tower cooler that is made up of seven 6mm copper heat pipes that are in direct contact with the CPU. These heat pipes are then connected with the huge aluminum fins that have a ceramic coating which provides extra durability.
As for the fans, these fins are cooled by two Silent Wings PWM fans which are some of the best-performing fans that be quiet! has to offer. Furthermore, these two fans come in different sizes to improve RAM clearance, the front fan is 135mm while the rear is 120mm, which means that you won’t have any RAM clearance issues with this CPU cooler.
The RPMs on these two Silent Wings PWM fans are different, with the 135mm having a maximum speed of 1200RPM and the 120mm having a maximum speed of 1500RPM. Besides, good RAM clearance, the difference can also increase the airflow making sure that the Dark Rock Pro 4 provides excellent cooling performance. As be quiet! is focused on silent hardware, the max noise output of this CPU cooler is only 24.3dB which is barely audible and makes it one of the best quiet CPU coolers for Ryzen 7 7700.
With all being said the Dark Rock Pro 4 also comes with included thermal paste along with a manual for easy installation. However, there are some video tutorials out there, that you can watch to make the installation process even easier. For under 100 bucks this is the best CPU cooler that can wink away 250W of heat, which means it can cool even the most power-hungry processors with ease. If you’re looking for the best possible cooling performance and silence, then the Dark Rock Pro 4 is the way to go.
